History

 

Since 2001, REAP has emerged as one of the stellar youth development program models in the State of Oregon. Commonly known for its ability to engage students and develop their leadership potential, REAP has become an essential resource to many business leaders, educators elected officials, community advocates and parents to ensure students are college and career ready.

 

Mission

 

REAP’s mission is to be proactively involved to engage and empower the hidden leadership potential of students for a better future now. REAP pursues its mission by investing in students and providing them a window into their future; elevating student voice and empowering students to  be global leaders by conversing with educators, business & political leaders; developing innovation toward entrepreneurship; engaging students in cooperative management opportunities. 

 

REAP measures success by:

 

• Increase high school graduation rates

• Improve college/trade school enrollment rates

• Create business partnerships for job internships 

• Develop entrepreneurial opportunities

• Advance opportunities for civic engagement

 

REAP works with more than 600 students yearly, in grades seven through 12, who represent our most vulnerable student population: at-risk, low-income, English Language Learners (ELL), immigrant and students of color.

 

REAP Touches Students Through:

 

• In School – Leadership, cooperative management and individual success planning 

• After School – Curriculum focused on civic engagement, entrepreneurship, academic achievement & health

• Leadership – Interface activities with elected officials, business leaders, educators and community advocates

 

REAP Enrollment:

 

Students voluntarily enroll in REAP programs. Our services are accessed through the school, online or by referral.
